    Question DD55000 Everest

gathering parts for an Everest clone (of sorts)...
does a tech sheet exist (ala the recent burst of kindly provided zip files) for this model? I've found manuals (incl. Japanese) and brochures, but all of the photos tend to hide important construction details. Have 2226HPL, 2426 + asym horn, & 2405's. Expecting to build a main cab based on specs/info/photo-gleanings and a separate tuned bass cab ~224l eff., that could be permanently attached after tuning...factory units appear built that way. Any info (esp view from top or back) regarding assy of these beasts or x-overs available (other then reverse eng. of plots in manual)? Sorry for the msg length & thanks in advance.

I deleted the first image Matossan was kind enough to post these on a previous forum. Might be here in the archives. There are a couple more but these help the best for construction.

    Hi.

The LF looks like an E145, doesn't it?

What do our Hon. friends think of the felt around the 2405?

The E145 and 150-4H are the same driver, only the foilcals are different.

Thanks for the photos/schematics! Have most of the geometry nailed down but I was missing some of the details (e.g., 2405/adj panels are split and bolt-in). 2226H isn't exactly a E145-8
replacement (esp, top-end-wise), but it's what I have for now... entered parameters into WinISD Pro and was able to get a comparable tuning.
We'll see what happens after the sawdust settles.

L-3 in the crossover may cause a bit of trouble as well as your 2226.

thanks for the warning re "L3". forgot to mention the 2426's are J models (16ohm), and I have JBL 3.3mH versions of "L3" that I hope will be useful.
I'll report back when project momentum picks up.
    I really appreciate the advice/feedback/info.

    ASS HORN

    Grumpy,

Were did you find ass.horn for your Everest Project?

I thought it was unavalaible as a spare part !

Maybe you have made a copy of them based on original drawings.

    Ass Horn

    Too much Monty Python

You rarely see them on E-bay from time to time. The Pro loud speaker is up from time to time too 4660. Have seen a couple out of churches both didn't go for much so the buyer got good deals.

    Ok i understand the joke

Buttocks or ass is effectively " derričre" in French. The real "vulgar"
    french word is "cul".

I believe we can stop now this "off topic" thread
