Gravity has no effect on sound propagation.
Direct wave and reflected wave from the floor (and the walls) interfere which results in increasing or decreasing loudness depending on distances and frequencies.

In open air installations humidity and wind may have an effect on sound.

Gravity has no effect on sound propagation

Other than in the Theory of Relativity (by a German named Einstien); Gravity has no "human" perceptible effects on sound waves.

Gravity? No. Boundary effect? Yes. Every adjacent boundary will cause approximately 3dB increase in bass response. The floor is one of those boundaries. Put it in a corner and get about 6dB boost...irrespective of room cancellations.

The weight of bass? That's very funny.
