What are these JBL Speakers? Are they any good?

Found these on eBay. Looks like someone bid on them.

Could not find any info on the web about these, so I thought I would ask the guru's.

They are local, so I thought if they are any good, I might scoop them up.

I am more of an Altec dude, but would try JBL if they sound nice.

    Thanks in advance.

    JBL 12" coax

Not sure what model that would be but if the price is right, you should pick them up!

Those home-brew cabs will need interior bracing and damping (insulation) installed to sound better....

    LE-12C

The wires go to a crossover module that divides the frequencies to the HF and LF drivers is located at approx 10 O-clock on the driver.

    This is a full unit.

and how about adding an extension to the opening in the baffle below the driver so it will actually work like a port of a bas reflex system?

the current port tuning is probably a little high, about 300Hz or something?

    BB6P does have T/S for LE12C.

It says big box (9 cuft for "High Fidelity") and low 20's Hz tuning.

It'd be interesting to put in the actual dimensions of those boxes and see how far off they are....

They look better suited for an 18 not a 12...that 12 looks lost in there and would perform better in a box half that size...with a smaller port.

Keep the 12's a scrap the boxes.

    What you have

The LE12c is basically a 123a with a concentrically/coaxially placed LE20, if you hadn't figured out that already.
