Has any one have any exp. with the TAD 1101 16 0hm driver ? was thinking of using a pair of them then crossing over to 2441 on a smith horn for a center channel with a sub. I have very little info. on this driver.

It has been discontinued though they have been regularly on eBay recently and priced quite reasonably. I doubt a pair would be necessary. I think most of the symmetrical looking dual woofered centers are designed based on appearance rather than any actual acoustic necessity.
