    Measurements at 4430 Cabinet

    Hello 4430 Owners!

For a 4430 DIY Project I need some measurements. It would be very kind if some of you could help.

    a)Thickness of Horn Baffle
b)Distances from Horn to Baffle edges (location of Horn)
    c)outer dimension Horn Baffle
    d) Diameter and length of Reflex Ports
    e)location of Bass
f)Dimesion of Pedestal, distance from outer cabinet

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Well, if Bo had a pair I am sure a pile of photos and measurements would be appearing on this thread.

Talking Here I come to save the day!! (It's JBL Dog!!)

(for those old enough to remember "Mighty Mouse")

Actually, just got the recones back and installed yesterday. But, I'm a team player, always here to assist!

Let me rip into one of those bad-boys apart and I'll be back with the results.

    Headin' to the "Dog-house"......

    Unhappy ARRRRRRRRRRRGHHHH!!!!

    Gonna have to wait!

My tool box is at a piece of rental property I own. The 2344's are mounted with screws that have "allen" heads (is this normal?).

    No allen-wrenches in the "dog-house"!!

If they ain't too tight, in a pinch, a Phillips head will suffice...

And, thanks, Mr. Widget, I surely would! Earlier today I thought of buying a pair just to do the vivisection...

    Hello Midnight,

What are the actual internal and external dimensions of the 4435?

I'll post the drawings of the 4430 L-Pad baffle and horn baffle in the next day or so once I get them re-drawn. I will be taking my 4430's apart and will need to get the stock measurements drawn up before I trash the enclosures. I wouldn't mind drawing up the 4435's at the same time.

    Dimentions

    Ok
The horn baffle thickness is 1" same as the l pad baffle.
I want to make sure we get this right.
The baffle is the piece of wood that is screw on to the box itself
between the horn and the boxe.
Pedastal is 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 (actual size) piece of wood and is mounted 3/4" away from the front of cabinet to the edge of the
pedastal. The mesurement off the sides is 1".

    The 4435 are
    Outside 38" wide
    34" h
    and 16" deep.
    Inside cabinets
    Horn side is
    32 1/2 h
    17 3/4 w
    14 1/2 d

    lpad side is the same
    I hope this helps
    Denis

So basically 4.84 cubic feet internal volume per 2234H each with a single 4.125" port x 5" duct right? So calculated Fb would be roughly 30 Hz rather than the 26 Hz as specified in the product sheet. It would be nice to actually measure them.

I'd sure like to know the DCR on the 18.0 mH (61540) and 2.6 mH (61005) coils.
