    Thumbs up Nice !

    Hi Dieter

    Good Work !

What sort of paint did you use to get such a nice finish ?

I like your crossover. Are those a whole bunch of paralleled, "motor-run", small-value (uf), paper in oil types ?

    regards <> Earl K

"What sort of paint did you use to get such a nice finish ?"

It is normal lac lacquered withe a role 3 times and sanded between lacquering

"Are those a whole bunch of paralleled, "motor-run", small-value (uf), paper in oil types ?"

Yes, those are paralleled paper-in-oil-typs in small values, the most are 1 uf, the biggest is 4 uF.

For the 077 the are bypass "glimmer" 2700 pF.

    The Middle Potentiometer ??

    Hi Dieter

    (a) In your picture you show 3 potentiometers doing various functions.

    - What is the function of the 2nd (middle) one ? - The one that has all the wires coming and going from it . I can't find a pot. in your schematic that would require all those connections .

    (b) Why did you decide to go with that approach for attenuation, ie. variable pots ( or rheostats ), strapped in parallel with the load - instead of the more traditional inline/series Lpad approach ?

    thanks <> Earl K

    Hey, Dieter...

That is beautiful work! Those look professional finish - like something Audiobeer would do!

Question: Why is your horn mounted in that position, rather than horizontal? Are you hearing more L/R separation this way?

I will try to explain in my basic english:

from inductor-coil i can use six different values from 0 mH - 0,6 mH, to affect the frequency-resonse around 5000 Hz.

The big horn is laquered by professionels , i think it is not possible to laquer it by myself in such a quality.

"Question: Why is your horn mounted in that position, rather than horizontal? Are you hearing more L/R separation this way?"

It is angeled to my listening position on a couch.

And, according to a pm I just got from Widget (hey Widget, your Inbox is crammed... ), that horn was designed to be positioned with the throat vertical.
