    H.F. suggestions

Im new so I hope Im not using the wrong forum. My last custom 2 ch system consisted of (4) 2405h supertweeters, (4) 2426h.f. drivers w/2370a horns,(4)2123hpl mids, and (4)2226h mid bass drivers. These drivers were installed in (4) cabinets, (2) per ch, stacked, top cabinets upside down. Subwoofer were (2) 18" aura sound 1808's' (Then I moved in with a girl, life happend, , we all know the story... I sold it all)

Now, 7 years later Im doing it again and I want it to be bigger, better and louder than before. I have purchased (8) 2123's, (4) 2226's (its all the room I have for now however I plan to buy (8) more!!), and (6) 18" aura sound 1808's. I own a bss omni drive electronic crossover and power is not an issue.

So what should I do for H.F. drvers? I liked my system before, however it could get a bit harsh at high volume. Ive heard some ribbon arrays, however alot of the stuff Ive seen seems pretty cheep and the technical issues are over my head. Is there anyone out there with any suggestions?

To my ears the 2370 is a particularly harsh sounding horn. Many of the PA horns can sound harsh in a domestic listening situation and even the much loved 2344 can sound harsh when pushed. For smooth sounding horns there are many of us who like the 2397 and it's Westlake derivative. The 2360A is also highly recommended, though it is too large for many home applications. Alskinner has tried both the 2397 and the 2360As... here is a thread showing them both.

Thanks Mr. Widget, I cant believe Im saying this but those horns are huge. Im hoping that my mid/high cabs will be some what more compact. depth is not an issue, my dual 18 sub cabs are 3 ft deep. Hight and width, as in most rooms are at a premium.
