    2122H vs. 2123H "What Hump?"

I finaly got my hands on a pair of 2123H's so I have a 2123 in the left channel and a 2122 in the right. That really flat response graph for the 2123 must have had the benefit of some smoothing somewhere along the line. I have a graph that someone was good enough to post that shows a rissing response in the 2122 from about 800Hz and up to about 1k. Well the 2123 has that same profile just not as pronounced and the top end is smoother based on what I can see with what I have hear. Any chance of a similar plot for the 2123??? My mains are a Triamped set up so I have to notch it out with a little EQ and its flattens it right out. Both drivers do this. Is this what I should expect to see?? Any one else try these two side by side??

    Smile Yes, well

    Hi Rob

You surely do have the addiction don't you ?

My cut-sheet graph is from the mid eigthies. Since then, the Ts specs have been changed ( Fs & Qts went up among other things ). A new graph would be in order but really JBL has mostly retired this speaker (IMO) in favour of the deep-gap 2012. ( So, I guess now you must get a pair of those )

    Support Group !

Well I thought this was the support group
Well , you know, there aren't that many support groups that exist to encourage more than discourage the addiction . Now that you've got those deep-gapped, licky-split, quick E145s - you really , really need 2012(s) to keep up in the midband ! Oh and then you'll need some big diaphragmed drivers to keep up with the previous lot. And class "A" electronics all round to smooth it all out ,,,,,,,,,,,
