JBL dealer display from 1970's, 6 foot tall

I am trying to get a parts list for the old display pictured below. It origionated about 1975 and all the components were alnico.
    15 136A
    12 .......?
    8 D208 or LE8T
    LX 5 crossover
    075 ring radiator
    LE 5-2? midrange
    HL 87 horn
on top was located the 375 driver with horn/lens pictured.
The back sides had some booklets on loudspeaker construction which you could obtain from JBL or the dealer...
I would like to get this to someone who could display it.
The brochure pictured may have been part of this promo for selling individual components.
Any information/pictures/ recollections ect of this peice would be appreciated.

    Cool.

    Welcome,

I had to look at the pics several times just to make out what it is! I'm guessing it's a tringular shaped structure with a glass front and mirrored sides. (?). The two mirrored sides have a printed JBL logo all over them. The glass (or plexi) front has the drivers mounted in them for display. Correct? That's probably very cool to look at (when complete) because you can see both the front and rear of the drivers at once.

So- just to be certain- you need all the componenets on your list to complete this display, or just some? What, exactly, do you plan to do with it when completed?

    Thanks for sharing.

I don't want to just throw it in the trash

You are right in your description of the display. I am initially trying to get some help as to identifing the components that were origionally in the display. I still have the 375 with horn and lens, the 075, the LE5 and the LX5 crossover that were on the display when I bought it from the dealer in about 1980.
I am not sure which 12" woofer and which 8" full range speaker was origionally on the display.
There were some pamplets glued to the back of the display I am trying to identify and acquire.
I intend to sell or donate it to someone who has room to display it.
Anyone who remembers seeing one of these in the 70's send me your recollections.

I would guess a D123 in some variation and an Le8t for the 8. Nice idea!! Did you see this??

    I wish!!!

What I really lust after is one of the L100's that the dealers used to have that was cut open with all the drivers cut open as well. I always liked that display!

That's the one. It seemed lots of dealers had them. There are pictures of them around somewhere.

Look at the one I just sold

I just sold this one last month on Ebay. Not JBL but about as close to an L100 cutaway as you can get otherwise.

    D123

Rob I think you are right on the D123 being the 12" in the display, unfortunately I don't remember this being used in any of the systems JBL sold at the time so they might be a little harder to find. I have 122A and 126A but no D123. It would be nice to know before I go on a buying binge.
The 8" guys of that period are also somewhat scarce and I can't remember if it was LE8T or D208. On the display it says 8" full range. That points to the LE8T which was listed as a full renge speaker in the 1975 components catalog. Anyone have one of these?

Well there was the extended range D123 Aluminum Dome and the D123A-1 in the L100/L88. I think there was a system with the extended range D123 and an LE-20?? LX-2 crossover.

4311 Cut away showing the famous white woofer
