mini Altec Voice of the Theater

    Mini A7s from Japan:

The Electori company was apparently the Japanese distributor for Altec, they still handle several major brands:

I don't know if they made these mini cabinets, or if the maker ws just reproducing a sticker that Electori applied to the real A7s that they imported.

Maybe a horn from the pioneer csa700 would look close to scale

    Electori

The history of any such item without some lineage is difficult to determine with 100%. Have forwarded this post to our friends at Electori for their comment.

Well, I certainly don't know the lineage, but I do know I love those little guys! If I had a pair, I'd certainly conjure up a pair of mini HF horns and drivers!

Only time I've seen these in miniature.
Mini baffle board in the last pic looks like it's ready for a tiny woofer.

    Electori

The Electori pieces (mini VOTT) were salespersons samples. As you could imagine it would be difficult for someone in outside sales to bring a full size 210 to a sales meeting via public transportation.

Electori then and today was actually two seperate divisions. Home audio sales, while very high end is but a small part of their business. Commercial installs makes up the bulk of their business.... or so I have been informed by their US agent.

At one time or another Electori has had makers build market specific product, just for Electori..... this was certainly the case with Altec. They made several studio speakers for Electori that did not see market outside of Japan. Electori didn't have access to JBL in those days and wasn't about to loose market share.... just because.

Wonderful group of people at Electori.

    Mini Altecs

I remember seeing miniature Altec A7s for sale. I believe it was on one of the Altec sites before thing settled in to the current Altec situation. I remember them being about a foot high or so.
Maybe one our Altec fans can tell us more about these.
