Electric Bass speaker Cabinets of the mid 70's

    Hi,

In the mid 1970's I used a Altec bass speaker cabinet for my electric bass.

It was a black folded horn 15 or 18 inch speaker, with just an Altec logo.

I loved the way this cabinet sounded.

Does anyone know what model it may have been, and also does anyone know where to buy one?

    Thanks for any help,

    Eric McCann

Most likely you are talking about the 1215A which used a single 421-8H woofer. Altec is out of buisiness, sometimes you can find these cabs on Ebay! You might check with Great Plains Audio, in Oklahoma, they are a company of former Altec employees and they might be able to help you out!
