Jerv;
I don't see an anomaly at 9 Khz in my impedance plot:) Dosent matter as the 2214H wont be used way up there anyway.
The small " hump " in my plot around the 2 Khz area is the result of...
I use LMS from LinearX Systems.........

Jerv;
The color differences in the overlaid plots didn't come out all that well on the pdf's posted here, seems to have lost something in transit.
You can PM me with your email address and I...
I measured the second 2214H just out of curiousity. Fs measured out at 28.274 Hz and the max inpedance reached was 46.637 ohms, a bit lower than the first driver.
I overlaid the 2 measured curves...
Hi Jerv;
I decided to do an impedance / phase measurement on my 2214H drivers anyway as I've had them here in boxes for a couple of years and have been wanting to do something with them ( or sell...
I happen to have a new pair ( not broken in ) of 2214-H drivers here. I could do an impedance/phase run on them this weekend with LMS if you like :) And post it in pdf format. I could also send you...
Thanks Ducatista47. In case you don't know, the avatar is a pic from the JBL Sessions album cover from years ago. I used to have a copy of that album but has since vanished from my collection. I wish...

I've been doing a search for a pair of pro nearfield monitors to use with my computer and was looking at Genelec's when I came across these enclosures made of cast aluminum....go figure. It goes...
Heres a couple of links for Canada you might check out to see if you could get your woofers reconed. If they can't do it, they might lead you in the right direction.

John;
In general, vented enclosure volumes up to approx 11 cu.ft. ( 311 L ) will have a QL of 7. Larger boxes than that, the QL is typically 5. Changing QL changes the F3 and amplitude response....

Hey John!! shorter months is a bad idea cuz sometimes I get ( and rely ) on that extra 5 pay cheque month :)
Other than that, GMT would be a great idea!!!!!

Whoops, I should have looked at the N1200 crossover first. I was still thinking simple crossovers from earlier today in another thread started by thumper and jumped to conclusions......hate when I do...
Thumper;
Using an inductor with several taps allow you to change the inductance, hense the crossover frequency simply by changing the tap positions. The slope rate remains the same, 6dB/oct....
Here is a great link with great graphics that explain crossover slopes and what they mean.
