Here is both drivers using same peq's.
These are from 18 inches, 800-20k
Hello, the microphone was on axis 1 meter away. I'm using a xilica xp4080 for dsp. These measurments were made to basically isolate the 045ti band with no dsp used. Both speakers fed the same input...
Hello, testing a pair of the sam1hf horns. Does this look normal the difference between the two 045ti's ? ?
You need to run a b6 eq alignment to get the 4645c flat to 20-22hz. Basically you use a low cut filter at 20hz and a 6db boost at 25hz. Also 200 watt is not going to cut it for the real low stuff.
L166's for $500 ? Wish that was the case around here. More like $800 if you want a pair without the tweeters pushed in. L150's,240ti's would be a good choice depending if you prefer passive or ported.
Been using a Yorkville ap4040 for a pair of 4645's very happy with it.

Have you tried these with any tubes? Mine sound great with 6v6's or el34's.
What a deadbeat , I hope nobody helps you with jack shit.
Someone with a 3d printer .
Looks like a crappy refoam. If you look at the cone, the foam is much thicker on the left side. I wouldn't be surprised if the voice coil rubs at low frequencies.
If its glued you might be able to pop it off easier if you put it in the freezer for a couple hours. It works great for removing jbl 2404 foilcals.
Who still uses crt's ? I don't know anyone .
Looks awesome, nice work. Are you going to build another for stereo ? I can only imagine how sweet it must sound.
The 2381 horns sound better crossed higher like 1.2k or more .
You did a real nice job. The 2242 is one sweet bass driver. Keep us posted how the tuning goes.
I doubt that the 2441 goes higher then the 2450-51 sl .
Yes , while the screws are loose run the tone and gently move it around and listen for the tone to get louder. I had to do this for a le85. Had the same issue lower output then normal. Good luck,...
Are you sure you centered the diaphragm? You have to run a test tone through it and loosen the screws to adjust it and see if it gets louder.
Thanks and hello . I got my settings for the jbl dsc260 processor here - https://www.jblpro.com/pub/cinema/cinedsgn.pdf .
Scroll to the bottom of the page and it shows the settings. Its 392hz for...
The 2450sl diaphragms sound very good using the 2446h cores. I am using the jbl dsc260a to biamp the 4675 and they handle 392hz and up just as good as the non coated diaphragms.
I put the 2450sl diaphragms on my 2446,s mounted on the 2360's . Smoother sounding and less fatiguing on the ears.
Yes I ordered some of these - http://reconingspeakers.com/product/jbl-d8r2450sl-diaphragm/ . They sound much better then the stock 2446h diaphragms.
