Have you tried this ?
http://drc-fir.sourceforge.net/
It's free, it's open source, and (according to what a lot of user say) seems to be one of the best Software DSP.

Right. Following what you wrote at that time, this is what I'm working on now. (little bit late, but now I've more spare time that then)
I making a new crossover, only for bi-amp, gettin rid of the...
No one offended here….
I’m in NY now, but next week I’ll be back home.
I still have my 5235, no…. to be honest, I have two of them. Yes, because it has been my first experience with...
believe me, I know how to use Clio.
I think you are overestimating this LF shielving...
And you are underestimating other people capability.
Choosing the right cut over frequency combined with the...
I never had one Marchand, but I heard that they are very good crossover.
But if you keep the original passive crossover you don't need the CD eq.
Michele
OK.....I was just curios.
Anyway, I'm very satisfied of my setup with the PASS LABS crossover
I can't hear any problem, nor can my Clio measurement system....:)
Michele
Yes, I'm using the XVR1 with 4430
and yes, before the XVR1 I had the 10B, and used it with 4430
Michele
well....I'm ever been curious about this LF shelving.
The LF passive crossover is just standard 12db with a zobel network, no any other special circuit in it
So, I suppose that using a good...
Have you ever tried ?
Michele
PS: for the same reason I would never use again a 5235, I would never use again a DEQ2496.....
The only suggestion I can give you is based on my experience.
Bryston 10B or Pass XVR1. The XVR1 is the one that I've now on my system
Michele
Well, I’m sure that a 5235 with your tweak will sound much better than the stock ones.
But it will remain a entry level pro sound product and I wouldn’t use it in any Hi-End setup.
This is just my...
this is what I've suggested since my first replay....
By the way, if you have the possibility, try a different crossover than the 5235. The 5235 is not an Hi-fi product.
If you like the 4430s...
Hi Tony,
I haven’t had any similar problem when biampling my 4430 with the 5235. I must also say that I used it for very short time because I don’t like how the 5235 “sound”, but this is just my...
Thank you very much for your answer.
I normally make my measurement with Clio, and thought that having a close look to some data, can give a clue on the mag condition.
So, the question could be:...
Widget,
when you measure a driver, and found some discrepancy with factory spec for that driver, how can you understand if the driver is not fully chargeed or if it's a diaphragm problem ?
I don't...
If you can run a frequency response test and compare it with a new driver or diaphragm, you can see if it is “on spec” or not.
But you need some testing equipment.
Michele
I'm using this
http://www.magma.com/products/pci/1PCI/
Work fine with Clio (fully supported) and any laptop, but....it's quite expensive.

Ezio,
are you planning to replace the 2405 with 077 on you 43xx?
If you want to know my opinion, I would say: don’t do it!
I have a pair of 077 (alnico), a pair of 2405 (alnico) and a pair of...
Ezio,
on the "VideoHifi" forum I gave you the same answers you got here....
Hope you'll enjoy your 2405 with peace of mind, regardless the impedance label...
cheers
:)

:applaud:
that should be the one I was watching on Audiogon.
I wasn't shure to buy it because the 18db slopes doesn't fit with my 4430.....
Anyway this xo should be really great.
It's a...
I bought a pair of 4312M last year during a business trip in Tokio
When I saw them I loved, but when finally I had hooked them at my home stereo I decided to keep them just as a "collector " item...
Thank you very much IAN
This help me a lot
Michele
I found very interesting this thread and I would like to share some doubt I have.
I want to upgrade the stock and aged crossover that I have on my 4430 monitors.
I don't want to start with charge...
as Rob wrote, just alnico to ferrite change on woofer
I totally agree :applaud:
