FWIW:
I don't believe anyone was suggesting the original L100 Century from the '70s, but instead the new L100 Classic just recently introduced.
You haven't mentioned a budget but, depending on how much power you have, the L7 may give you all the punch you can handle at a price you won't believe!
Of course I've never had the chance to hear...
Thanks for the advice. Turns out it is just a tight fit over a splined shaft. Took a lot of pulling. I was only concerned because the Pro-Control Four has an LED built into the knob which, in...
Shot in the dark: Anyone here had experience removing the volume knob from a Pro Control Four? Not sure there's any way to clean the pot but one of mine is having an intermittent problem with...
I love my LSR305s but in a home-theater application that's a lot of wires, cables, and power outlets to make it work—regardless of how you hang them!
Mine aren't garage speakers, they've been in my living room since I got them almost 11-years ago. And I did get plenty of help with some custom crossovers that were diagnosed from pictures as having...
Maybe things have changed. I came here over ten-years ago back when I was just 53. I guess I had enough patience to eventually get to the point of receiving more advice and help (and critiques) than...
T-nuts are available at most hardware stores. Lowe's in my area carries an assortment. Take a bolt and a nut with you and see if you can match them up. Good luck with the project.
Gee.
71 posts in about a year and you haven't found Nirvana yet?
Are you an impatient youngster . . . or an impatient old fart?
I've benefitted from significant technical assistance here...
It might help to upgrade your bananas. I've been extremely pleased with the Neutrik connectors and especially these I used on my 6-Moons White Lighting cables:

Those nut inserts do work well. Most likely invented by Ikea, they are readily available in the USA at Lowe's and similar stores. Just be careful using them in hardwood and test a proper size pilot...
When doubled-up, it emphasizes the power of the 4345. . . visually, at least. :dont-know:
Okay. It looks different because someone hacked the input terminal cup, perhaps even replacing it with one from another JBL with a different crossover attached. Regardless, whatever crossover it has...
So then, why are you concerned with its "authenticity"? You never mentioned how it sounded.
What is the point of your inquiry??
Mick Fleetwood is 72
Peter Green is 72
They both already outlived Danny Kirwan
Donald Fagen is 71 and already outlived Walter Becker
Ian Anderson is 72 and Jethro Tull died way back in 1741!!!
As I mentioned, I've never seen any substantial or official claim for numbers of any of the large 43xx series. Just round numbers of speculation and Internet lore.
Can't wait to hear the response from some of our Atlanta members!
I've always heard 200 4345s but never saw any real substantiation for any monitor production numbers.
Yeah, and the dust domes on the mid-bass drivers look suspect to me. Also, I'm guessing there were far fewer 4345s made than 4355s, but that's just a guess.
Thanks for posting! Always fun to see...
Study the history of the Pioneers and Bart Locanthi and you'll understand why that is.
Many knowledgeable folks don't really like the sound of either. Study the history of the L100 here and...
Just flat sounds better, too!
I've owned my L112s since they were new some 38-years ago. Never had any problem filling a room or the outdoors with all the volume I needed. They've never had anything powering them beyond a Crown...
We had this thing called The Draft.
In 1972, my birthdate got me number 258. I was never forced to test the courage of my convictions.
Does the handwriting on the boxes indicate that these were what was pulled when they were replaced with the new drivers originally shipped in those boxes?
Did you carry those on the bike??...
