The Acoustic Research AR-9's from '79-'80 didn't do this with me :)
But then again they didn't have a switch either.
Indeed.
And THANKS again for all the input guys.
There aren't many Forums where the high end, high dollar, experienced and knowlegdeable members will take the time enlighten and share with the "low...
Wow. THANKS Don.
I really appreciate all the info.
I am indeed that guy !!
I'm relieved to know that my ignorant curiosity hasn't in any way damaged the speakers/xovers.
I'm equally relieved to...
Thanks for sharing that Rob !! :)
Any suggestions on how to go about doing that??
And what is needed
I'm not running an active xover.
Though I'm not actually just flipping the switch to see what happens either.
I have pair of amps and they're properly set up: I just happened to notice this when I...
I've got a question about the crossover network in these.
(I'm not a "technical" guy but something seems wrong to me)
The xpl's come bi amp capable with a switch on the back for "normal wire" and...

And for the XPL200's it's a pair of Yamaha P2200's.
For the XPL90's ( walnut grain...
Thanks mech986.
PM sent. :)
AWESOME amps.
And love the meters :)
I can always use another one ( hint hint)
The P2200 is ample power to drive the 200's well enough to satisfy me.
I'm not actually feeling the "need" for more power: its more of a "want" or me.
I have the pair of amps and the 200's are bi...
And I do appreciate that my Brother.
I may pick your brain regarding active xovers in the very near future if that's alright with you.
As I'm hoping but doubtful I'll get my hands on a DX-1 anytime...
There's a xover for the L150 on ebay at the moment.
I've also been told the L150A uses the same xover as the L112 ( 128h, LE5-10/12, 044).
I've recently picked up a pair of the JBL XPL200's I'm running a Yamaha P-2200 amplifier and I very much enjoy it's sound. Specs would indicate the power handling capability of the XPL200's to be...
