That's great about JBL, but i.e. 4311 are considered as professional studio monitors, and have simple 6 db/oct X-over. How about their Z-curve?
It is an interesting question - how old JBL speaker...
In particular, what I have now for L100 is:
LE123-A1 - serial coil 0.92 mH, Zobel network 20 uF + 6.8 Ohm resistor in parallel to LE123-A1, driver wired in phase,
LE5-2 - Capacitor 36.6 uf...
Hi, all,
I have a friend (his nick is Odessit) who is very good in speaker design. His method is based on two principles. This works well especially for tube amplifiers. The point is that typical...
Hi,
What You guys will say about using LE20-1 insread of LE25-2 in later model L100 with simple X-over? Is it reasonable? I never listen to any of them and now have to select. LE20-1 looks more...
Thanks!
Do You think 035Tia is good only with 104H and is not suitable in pair with LE5-2? I don't want now to spend extra also on new middriver.
I have checked through various networks from...
Hi, Stevem,
Try also my program: http://members.fortunecity.com/winreal3d/
Check section 10 on the web.
You can change the shape of the box and look at the effect of internal resonances.

Hi,
I have a pair of LE123a1 and LE 5-2 drivers from original LE100 monitors and plan to build the complete speakers. The third driver (tweeter) missed in my design is LE 25-2. I think I...
Oh, I found the answer bu myself

Hi,
Could anyone please comment on JBL LE5-2 driver dust central cap form (that driver which was used in century L100 monitors):
Should be the dust central cap be convex outside or hollow...
Thank You, Gordon. This is what I needed.

Hi,
Does anybody know (had measured) the port frequency in original JBL L100 monitors boxes?
Thanks,
Alexander
That's the curve, JBL123-A1 is in free air, so there is normal roll off at low end.
Done with my 2a3 SE amp (it has flat responce, and about 2.5 Ohm output), the measurement is in 1/3 octave pink...
Hi, all,
my 5 cents. I am trying now to cross 123a1 with another silk dome tweeter, and measurements (Bruel & Kier high accuracy meter) show 123 is peaky at 5 kHz. It rolls of smoothly up to 2...
Hi, friends,
I am developing this project.
See here: http://audio-fil.narod.ru
Now it includes two open baffles, closed or open box, sealed sphere,
two types of transmission line and Voight...
This is Xover network with 123-A1

It says Re of 123A-1 is in the range of 4.4 to 5.5 Ohm, while this is 8 ohm impedance driver! Maybe...
This stands for 8 ohm version:
http://www.bassreflex.de/index/JBL/jbl.htm
Strange is that they wrote 8 ohm, but again 123A (without 1), while the original pdf says 123A has Re=4.4 ohm.
Hello, friends,
I am new to this forum.
I am looking for TS parameters of this driver. I guess this is 8 ohm version of JBL 123A. Can anybody help?
Thanks,
Alexander
