Picking up a pristine pair of Altec Model 15's on friday! 200 bones.
He says the woofers were "sourced by RCA for Altec".... Is this a fancy way of saying the woofers weren't original?

Ok just got back from checking out the altec's..... Turns out one of the speakers was left OUTSIDE!!!:biting::biting::biting: One of the woofers had a bad voice coil rub! :biting::biting: the veneer...
hahaha that's the thing, this is never gonna end! I'm always going to have some massive speakers sitting somewhere I have to worry about!!! :)

NOW I find myself with NO room and a friend wanting to give me some altec model 19's for...
I've had success mixing with JBL L112's also my friend had great success mixing with the little teeny blue faced jbl's i BELIEVE THEY WERE THE 4301B'S? (HELP?)

what about the ebay diaphragms? titanium I believe? Stay away? what are peoples opinions? I did the aa battery scratch test and there is no sound from either horn:(

I got these today on a whim, I guess they need diaphragms, I looked at them and they seem alright here's a picture; no cracks or holes;
Picked up some original lenses after 4 hour car trip (thanks neanderthal!)
They look almost mint and I paid 130 for them (same as the repros)
