Hi.
It is difficult to explain, but lets say that the 2242/2245 brings you to the musician, and the newer 2269 brings you to the record. This is taking it very far, but it is just to try and...
Will you be selling the "old" woofers?
-Tim
Hi. I have auditioned them twice at AES New York 2015 and 2017. I would say that they are very good. There is a small thing. Im not sure if they are "as musical" as the predecessors. 2242 and 2245,...
Got my M2 waveguides two days ago.
Hopfully i can do a proper anechoic measurement in about two weeks. The room is booked for the next 10 days.
I will do raw measurements without EQ. 5 degrees...
Yes there is potential for an upgrade. The biggest uppgrade of them all is to discard the passive crossover altogether and go active. Not a cheap option but a very good one :)
This translates rougly into:
I am afraid of the high dynamics in classical music and needs a speaker that won't reproduce them fully. However i want the illusion of dynamics so the PMC is fines...
I owned a pair of LS40's for about half a year. They are nice speakers for their size and price, but after half a year i had to make room for my K2 lookalikes. 7" woofers just doesnt do it for me ;)...
Availability status is probably because the cabinet manufacturer (Hornslet in Denmark) just went bust. Quite an amount of S9900 and E2 cabinets in unifinished condition were sold of at low prices.

-6dB at 48Hz is anechoic i believe. I have heard them (in bad room) and bass extension was not a concern imo.
I would suggest that the next level is going partially active, and then fully active.
1: The monitors sounded better than the large ones. More coherent. They don't have the same low frequency oomph, but i would prefer the monitors and use the rest of the $$ for a custom LF system.

I know. I just Puzzles me that Harman is not doing the same. TAD is using the same room every year in Munich, so that is a huge advantage.
I was also there. IMO the Everests played far inferior to the K2. There where huge problems With the room both in the bass and lower midrange. For me it is strange that Harman wants to display their...
About rePhase. You are able to put the files generated from that into a convolver plugin right? So you could use a high-end sound card like the Lynx Aurora, and do all the filtering and crossover...
I'll ask him for you. :)
I didn't say it was possible. But it is the benchmark.
Ok. Then i don't agree. Absolute transparency for me is when the measured impulse response of the input equals the output. In this case it would be the impulse response from the input of the...
It's a fair point. The way i see it we have two options.
1: Just assume that what is on the record is the "answer". That means that our system must bring that into the room as uncolored as...
I payed 950 EUR +VAT last year. for the 2x8 module.
I might be misinterpreting what you mean Pos. According to Rainer, you uppload your measurement to the HD2 with the free software. Then define...
Well. If we are to look at names only. Then Everest and K2 can be considered fairly pretentious ;)
Their knowledge into DSP is quite extensive. They are particual into Wave field synthesis :...
The WE555 is a very special design with its diaphragm shape. It can be read about here: http://www3.alcatel-lucent.com/bstj/vol07-1928/articles/bstj7-1-140.pdf
The control software is free. It is included with purchase of any variant of their hardware.
I have met the developer, and worked with one of his colleagues. The BIG difference is that you can buy the FourAudio as an OEM module. This means you make your own PSU. The board also has extra...
