That's 1/4-20 UNC, 1" length.
The problem's not the thread, but the heads. They are completely wrecked. I was lucky to get them out at all without drilling them.
So 10-32 x 2" UNF seems to be the way to go.
Thank you very much.
Sorry for resurrecting this stone age thread, but I am working on a pair of a pair of 2482 with massively abused cap screws.
My first guess concerning the thread was 10-24 UNC - definitely wrong....
That's not easy. 2122H and 2123H aren't that much alike. The former is much more a bass than the latter. 2123H is a lot louder and a true midrange.
To my knowledge, something like this has been done...
Yes. When a vinyl record sleeve stands upright, the cover side is on the right. If those shelves would be tilted to the left, the records wold be too, and the cover side would be the one to look at....
Those Kallax Shelves are indeed tilted intenionally :). But there's a little mistake there - it would have been better to tilt them the other way around.
Side and top walls of the 4355 are treated...
Just to let you guys know how my 4355 story proceeded: They finally went to my new home (in fact, I moved just to find a suitable place for those speakers ;)), and I am getting there. Already very...
First guess: Someone didn't pay his bills.
If you look up lansingheritage.org, you get
Looking up that one:
Thanks Ivica. Even if this is not what I wanted to hear :crying:.
Yes. It's the better solution. Having voltage dividers or just resistors before tweeters has proven to be a thing to aviod. I have learned that even tweeters benefit enormously (soundwise) from...
I am currently building my second version of 3155 crossovers for driving my 4355.
Version 1 has been the simplified circuit with the autoformers being replaced with a suitable network floating...

Happy 32SII user here. Still running the first set of batteries after - don't know... 25 yrs? :bouncy:
No problem at all. You just need XLR/RCA adapters or cables with the right plugs fitted on each end.
Essential in terms of quality. Adding a completely unnecessary D/A-, followed by an A/D...
Whatever you do - just don't open a speaker company. There are far too many out there, and all of them want to become rich from the German market. Hint: Doesn't work... ;)
Yes, I was also wondering... Never heard of the necessity to re-magetize a ferrite motor.
What's the point of using an active filter if you want to add "some passive items" in the end?
If you are not happy with your sound and want to fiddle with your system's frequency response, get an...
Which turntable, tonearm, cartridge?
What's your preferred kind of music?
Every phono pre has an EQ, it's in the nature of the vinyl record and colled "RIAA correction". I wouldn't recommend a faulty RIAA as a measure to modify the tonal balance of your system.
Speaking...
The Bryston is next on my agenda. I know someone who owns one and is hopefully willing to borrow it for a few days.
Absolutely not. 90 percent of my music comes from a turntable, and I like to keep things analog. And please let's skip the "But most of your vinyl is derived from digital material" discussion ;).
If...
This is exactly what's working in my 4355s. Stellar bass performance :bouncy:.
Made some progress. Adding the 2308 definitely helps for short listening distances. Got the L-pads connected, lowering the 2441's output was a good idea. Until my tube crossover is finished, I am...
Uhmm... hadn't thought of that... wait, got to fire up that simu software...
Just kiddin.
