The horn I used is the back part of a 2344A mounted to the box and then used a 11 plate lens in front of it. The main angles were 30deg vertical and 90deg horizontal. If I was to use a 2425H for mid...

For the past two years I have been doing research and a lot of prototyping on the best all round center channel speaker for big format systems for home use (theater room), (man caves) etc. My main...
Darn now I need to baby the ones I have. Didn't see that it scrolled my bad.
The brown caps are jbl caps I have lots in my spare parts they have the same stamp markings too. The caps are old bees wax caps and if they work their fine but there are better ones out there to get...
I'm glad I bought six of the 2123H cause they might be next. Do you know if the 111A 10" has been obsolete yet cause I have some of them also?
It does 250Hz to 3000Hz and the horn is the 2393 when being xover it need to be 18oct slope for best power handling.
The 2490H is the only thing close to your Q it has a 3" exit and a 4" voice coil and is for mid compression freq.
I understand where your coming from and here is the method of my design. My 4343 sit 14ft away from the main sitting spot and my center is 8ft so using the 2405 slot and 2420 horn was to hard on the...
Hello all, here is my latest DIY. If any one would like the plans from the x-over to the box and speakers I'm here to help.588885888958890
Its a Utah speaker that brings back fun times lol.
The sound is a lot better from the old JBL X-overs and you get a flatter response from 30Hz to 20kHz. yes I will hook up the power supply and test the outputs.
I've made N3145 CC for the 4345 and also one modified for the JBL 4355 and they both work perfect, a power supply for the left side and one for the right side. The first one posted on this site just...
I'm doing something like this schematic but with the N3145 CC network.58479
Thanks for the info John.
Well my dad and me worked on them for a whole summer as well as making his 4350 and 4355. It takes a lot of time and money witch my dad help me with cause I was going to college at the time for a deg...
OK that's what I was wondering. Can I still use one resistor from the - part?
yes I used a fixed L-pad and a zobel network to keep a flatter response in the middle of 1250kHz to 9500kHz as well as keeping the impedance down for the amp. I used a 12oct slope @ 1250kHz and 18oct...
Do you need to have a 2M ohm resistor at every point of the caps witch that would be 10 per Network or just one off the + of the battery? What I'm wanting to do is using a Regulated power supply with...
The boxes were made by me and the parts are; JBL2205H, JBL2123H, JBL2426J, JBL2405H and the new charged coupled x-over N3145 and I'm using a regulated power supply with 16vdc instead of a battery.
I'm using JBL2426J driver with the butt cheek horn.58476
Yes, I'm making some right now I have pics if you need schematics or where to get parts I'm here to help.
