I did it ! I bought fiber glass paste with car body filler and did exactly as you said.
The result was astonishing ! I manage to rebuilt the corners and edges really good. After sanding they were...

now comes the hard part... fixing corners and repairing edges with wood paste.
After comes veneering.
Hope everything to end ok :)
