I have not seen anything that say at 2288h have more power handling than 2269h on JBLpro website?
it lookīs like 2269h can dig deeper than 2288h with more power handling?
...

TL-1102 is definitely a great midbass/midrange woofer, I have try dual 251J in 2 cu.ft enclosure with port tuning around 60Hz crossed between 70Hz - 1200Hz, and they work great
1500Al, 1501Al-1...
very nice build, I really like the look of the veneer:applaud:
I am curious, what is the port tuning of the enclosure for the Tl-1102?
Ari
I found this info for thiele/small parameters for 2254j

VAS 2.6 cu.ft = 73.62l
BL 10.99 (is definitely wrong measurement) should be more around 25?
Ari
interested project you are working on:)
can you check how 2254J will work in mid bass horn?
Ari
2267 are sure a great woofer, 2269 is the first JBL 18" woofer I am interested in since 2245
if had use single 2251j in my project I have go for 2267 and cross between them at 300Hz
Ari
I think at there have bin and are couple of smart guys on this forum;)
about the Everest later models, I donīt think at they were as good as the driver components that were used in them were...
I can cross my dual 251j at 70Hz over the W1500H
I would not recommend to cross 2251j and 2123H that low, I donīt know why GT strongly advised not to use the 10" in the range of 300 - 1200Hz?
...
because I am sure 2216Nd-1 are not going to beat the 10" midrange woofers in the 300 - 1200Hz range
I am not 100% sure which of the 10" JBL midrange cone woofers is the best, but I have try both...
I have play with 1500Al, 1500Al-1, 1501Al-1, 1501Al-2, 1500Fe, 1501Fe, 2216Nd woofers so I think at I know pretty well how they work
I did not say at 2251j/251j were better than 2123H, I have not...
the former JBL engineers are gone, we all know that, but I am not going to assert that there might be other in the future that could make a great 4-way speaker
you can see at almost every other...
I respect your opinion 100% and I am agree with you at this thread should be stick to the discussion of (Why is 4 way design dead)
I have play with all the new 15" woofer and also 476Mg and 476Be...
my DIY 4348 project:)
Ari
I am totally agree with you!
I have play with both 2-way and 4-way, I have my K2-s9900 and DIY 4348MkII project, for my taste I like the 4-way better
Ari
thatīs fine for me:)
I know a guy in US that have owned both S9800 and 4348 and he did like the 4-way design 4348 better in nearly every way
he said at 4348 have way better low end than S9800
...
I really like to hear what you did not like with the 4348?
Ari
I have seen this Aalto system one time one eBay for some years ago, I think at they did have dual 2251j and 2451SL?
I just remember at the distributor in Iceland for JBLpro did hear them on some...
I modeled quickly in Winspeakerz the 2269 in 8 cu.ft. box tuned at 25 hz and also tuned at 30 hz. You have below both results on the same graph, bottom curve is Fb 25 hz and top curve is Fb 30 hz.
...
I am still working on my 4348
they are going to be different from the original version, with different driver parts (W1500H, dual 251J, 476Be and 045Mg)
this system will be fully active
I think...
Thank you for the info:)
so it lookīs like the 4897 are tuned similar like the 4645B/C subwoofers at 25Hz
I think at this boxes would perform better with 2269
Ari
does anyone know the port tuning for HLA 4897 sub?
Ari
I really donīt know why JBL are not making any 4-way design anymore!
I am agree with you, for my taste I like the 4-way better than the 2-way or 3-way, the magic is in the 10" woofer, it just sound...
