I like the way you tactfully say 'not the ultimate in bandwith extension'... thats good! It's a little lacking in the ultra highs :)
Well, even though it makes me cringe a little bit to say this, I am probably going to turn it into a pair of Summits (my dream speakers ever since I had my first pair of Jubals) get myself another...
Of course! :bouncy: I listened to it all weekend !!
Finally got around to uploading the first testing of my D-1005. Hope you guys enjoy! It sounds really good, impressive bass, not overly bright, a bit peaky in the mids. About like I would expect :) I...
"d-1005"
Yes, it was. I had a feeling that one would be worth more on the bay, than sitting on my shelf! Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised by ebay... and sometimes disappointed! It's a bit of a crap shoot!
Will do! im going to post that video tonight!

Thanks guys! This one isn't perfect either codmetically, some chips in the veneer... Probably just going to leave it as-is though... The drivers are perfect! :)....
Well, I picked up some AMAZING 1950's era stuff today off the local Craigslist.... An original owner Blonde James Lansing D-1005 :) and A Mint condition Stephens Trusonic Triaxial driver... But now,...
Well that problem was solved quick enough!!
OK, picked these up for a song.... the original JBL tweeters were hacked up to fit some Belgian POS domes.. Darn. Anyway.. The LE10a's and LX3 crossovers are still present...
They are finished in...
After studying Some pictures... There is no way they are L200's. The cabinets are considerably deeper cabinets than the L200's... But definitely very very similar and that's what I thought they were...
I am not sure but these seem
quite a larger than L200 cabinets...
Also yes they are 421-8H is the model number for sure... Figured they weren't from the same time period as everything else so...
Hello All, hopefully this is the correct forum for this....
I purchased two pairs of Altec speakers this week at a yard sale for $200, and I am having no luck identifying them.
Both Pairs have...
