I was told there were only 50 made a year. I cannot find documentation but they started to make them in 1976....
My speakers are back from being re-coned. I want to thank all of the people on the forum that have helped and guided me to the correct decisions.
I finally got the speakers setup and ready to run...

I did think about doing it but after reading the post about them being outdated I think I may pass now. I have thought about making a scale model just for fun (easer and cheaper).
I also...
BTW: The question that started this thread. I forgot to say the Paragon construction plans I bought from dougie.com on eBay are GREAT well worth $12.95!!!:applaud::applaud::applaud:

Sorry, 'wwwbext.com' does not exist or is not available.
There are a lot of people that know a lot more than I do here but, I did find that the LE-15A can be used in a closed cabinet. You only gave two dimensions for your speaker 19 3/4" H and 27 3/4" wide...
So let me see if I got this right. The Pargon II wider with two updated minimus 7's one on each side hidden back inside and a JBL sub in the closet.:applaud:

Doc
You made me laugh because I drove the 7's to hard and they started to pop real bad. I looked and I had the EQ base turned up to loud. Those 7's just can't do the base thing. When I get my 15's...
I am reading all this and right now I am listing to my Realistic Minimus 7 speakers with my Phase Linear Pre amp and amp, using my technics SL-1400MKS to spin Thelma Huston "I've got the Music in Me"...

First of all MY HAT is tipped to YOU!!:applaud:
You made two Paragons and it only took two month each I would say that was very quick congratulations, I am only dreaming now. I checked...
Think about this. If you had the Paragon with a Plasma TV above it would you need your 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 DD Surround system?:)
This is one the photo that I used to make the stock. There were two...
There also also duplicating machings that can be used. I did gunsmithing for 15 years and I have a 1921 Walther auto shotgun that the stock was missing and I had to make one from photos I found. I...
Hoerninger post copied over here.

As for me WAY over my head. Just trying to keep it all in one place.

Well I don't know if I made a mistake spending that much money to buy the plans but I did not know any other way.
I said I don't think I will ever build "IT" (I was going to say them, I only...
I have looked all over the Internet and asked at B&N for a book about vintage stereo and all I can find is tube and very old stuff. I would like to see a book that covers 1945 through 1990. Including...
Good enough for me I just bought them.
Thank you
Ed
I just wondered if they were just a come on. I would like to see the plans to build the cabinets for them. Doubt if I would ever build them but I can still dream. The componets I know can be...
This is the first time I have seen this thread. I have been spending 99% of my time next-door in the library just awed with information. I have not had time to read threads because I don’t have much...
I thought there were only 1000 JBL Paragon made and they were patented and the secret of how to make them was closely guarded. This guy is selling the plans to make them on eBay.
...
Not only talk radio but TV also. I don't even have my tuner connected to the system.
Last night I was listing to my JBL Sessions LP and I could not hear anything from 20,000 down to 10,000 on my...

You have been making a LOT of speakers in your time. Now is the time for the Paragons.

We talked about .JPG or .PDF. I think we came up with the answer to be .PDF. My example...
Before I forget does everyone know you can go to

I was telling you my brother built a pair of 1957 JBL Harkness/C40 around 1974. Here is a photo of them.

I want to say thank you very much for the edit.:applaud:
I do want to say in reference to "Obama tried that with his certification of live birth". This just proves that it can happen to anyone. I...
