I power my model 19 speakers with a Sansui G9000 reciever as Gary does. The combo of this reciever with the Altecs works great. The thing is that the big sui 9000 has a fantastic amp section on par...

I know that the snap-fasteners were made by the 3M company. Doubt that they still have stock left over but you could try.

You really would not need a mirror to check the woofer. Just slip your hand into the slot like I did when I first bought mine. The back of the woofer should feel like what the pic below looks like IF...
