OK, sounds like the 2242H is the one to go with, thanks Rob and others. Mr Fitlin, I will no doubt have questions. Let me get some measurments of the place and so forth and I'll be back.

I do home HiFi, but have a friend picking my brain for subs to use in his new club's dance floor. Whatever cheapo 18 inch subs were purchased just dont get it bass wise, and they are disappointed. ...
This is the recipe I have, JBL 4507/4647 box, between 4.5 and 5 cu ft, with either one (34 hz ) or two (30 hz) of the four vents plugged. Plays loud, nothing hits the pole piece, even when flat...
I play it plenty loud. When listening in the garage. (several rooms away)
it will be hitting over 100 db and louder, no problems.

How do you figure? the recone for the driver will be over 200.00. I'll take all you have of the 2225H at 50 bucks, as well as your reconed 2225h to 2235H for 150.00. How big a truck should I...
NO. Just the passive crossover for the speaker. Box is about 5 cu ft.

By the by, they were reconed 2225H, work done at Slice speakers in KC!
Agreed. I drive the wholly crap out of mine and never, never have I hit the pole piece. Maybe the mass ring came loose? I've...
Yes, 30 hz is too low for these drivers. In 5 cu ft (4505/4647 box) tuned to 40 hz, they slam like crazy, with insane rimshots. Just not as low as 2235H, but lower than my A7's ever dreamed of.
...
I would contact them quickly, before they are moved to china and JBL quits making them. Then you better know someone with a time machine.
Its a little over 400 a pair and worth every penny. Do it...
This is the best advice, I doubt your problem is with the transformer, more likely something down steam has run a muck and is causing the transformer to load down. Chase it down like the above...
Just ship it to him! (GPA) Last time I did, 3 days later they were sitting in my office, I hadnt even paid him yet!

I seriously doubt it too. I suspect he hasnt listened. 4430 is one of the most highly thought of monitors, nothing with 2370 ever came close from the factory. IMHE, anyway.
2370 might be easier...
Terry, if you have had great Plains to replace the dia. with the aluminum version, you are almost to 802 8 G specs. Your 808 8B should have the tangerine phase plug like the 902, but still has the...
Actually there are two different 511B horns, three if you count 511E, which isnt for 1 inch however.
The 511 comes in an older version, with solid metal welds and a little support thing way back...
Do you happen to be in possession of Woofer tester, or other T/S measuring apparatus? Would be interesting to see how they come out after breakin.:applaud:

Anyone Know a source for those nice little connector strips? sorry about the OT, but I've been looking for those little buggers.
P.S. Nevermind. Google is my friend, once I figured out they were...
If JBL is selling them for 270 a pair I'm in. I think that may be a piece...
Russellc
Sorry, I wasnt clear:D I was looking for the circuit itself!
Still digg'in for it........I know 2123H must be handled carefully and figured this would be a good way.
The part of this thread...
I have the 4507 box for 2235H, so I'm thinking of a 2 piece design as well.
That knock down parts express box may be perfect for this! (Except for the 12 inch hole. there's plenty of room to add...
What is the " Rob net work" for these components?
Thanks inadvance, Russellc
