Don't bother rotating the horn. The horizontal and vertical coverage is the same at 100 degrees. I know because I created the horn mechanical design drawings for Don Keele back in 1983.

You can go to ebay and search for 'speaker protection'. There are lots of diy circuit card kits from China for about ten bucks that should solve your problem.
