I can measure one for you Tuesday when I am in the shop if no one gets it sooner.
Barry.
I cannot express, even in my own language how much I am impressed and appreciate this! Amazing and astounding are a couple of words that come to mind.
Thank you for sharing.
Barry.
Sorry for the brevity on the Hillbilly caliper set. I just grabbed a round thing (paint can) and the squares on the way through the shop on my way to work and took a quick pic. Just thought...

For sure!

The Chinese junk I keep taking out of 4” drivers and ring radiators says nope.
What they get really wrong on the large format diaphragms is the clearance between the phase plug and diaphragms....
HI Rob;
The 2227 uses the 2242 motor assembly. It has a .5" or 13mm top plate and the pole piece / back cap is deeper for more coil travel. The the 2206 2226 2241 top plate is .375" or 10mm.
...
One more tidbit, 2227 is too deep to fit in the 4550’s. The rear plate of the motor rests against the back cover of the cabinet restricting the motor vents.

Awesome work HSCGuy!

Hello All;
There are better amps here amps here and something else will make its way in if only for comparison. At some point everything in the chain becomes suspect. A very quiet amp would be of...
Hi All;
Home for the holidays I am finally making some headway on the PWT and measurement platform front. A while back I bought a LarsonDavis lab grade high SPL mic (pr) and a 200V preamplifier...
Agree. The McCauley horn looks open much deeper or with out diffraction form all together ie having a smaller dispersion pattern. A better pic would help.
Like Riley said, a smaller pattern in...
Hi Riley;
Until a post or two after the one you quoted me here, I didn’t know if he was in the great outdoors or in a closet.
I haven’t heard the horn newbie has but if he is looking for a big...
30” X 16” That looks like a big nice horn. 64 questions:
Are you using them at home?
What BSS unit do you have?
What speaker compliment is under these horns? Like 15’s and subs or?
...
Do you have the 22A or 22T compression driver on your horns? Do you have the passive crossovers that Peavy used for these systems?
I found the spec sheet for the mark three system but wonder...
There may be a clue right there. Is this the sound you like or are after?
Very high frequency does not travel far before it gets absorbed by air so systems like you describe use bullet tweeters...
Hi;
There are many patient knowledgable people here that are glad to help. You need not pass an exam to be here. :)
On a stretch the 4342 horn can play low enough in frequency to work with...
Love it! Good work!!

It drives me mad! Ever wonder if we might ever get the JBL blue nailed down?
Finding houses with a great paint color combination and knowing that I will never be able to nail it down unless...
Damn I lied. This hard drive is on XP. :(
So sorry!
Barry.
Hi Rob!
Before I tell a lie and say yes, I had better slide the old hard drive back in and make sure that my memory isn’t lying to me. Will do it tonight.

LinearX.
Mine runs fine on 32 bit Win7 last I used it.
Barry.
I thought they were done but didn’t know if someone had got that ball rolling again.
Sorry for the divergence.
Thank you.
Barry.
Is there anything left of LinearX?
