Is it possible that also the 2225H got these Hitachi cones?
I have a cone here i remowed from a 2225H with a burnt voice coil,
and the first thing i noticed was that the cone it self was made...
Please claryfi, does this mean that unless you get what you need, you are not going to forward any requests or share any contact info?
Or is it the guy with the winding machine who refuses any other...
What i need are coils for the 2108H and 2122H.
Those specs are already aviable on this site.
The specs you need are sadly enough, not.
What i dont have are someone to wind them, without...
I cant help with specs for your coils.
But i would love to get in touch with this guy since i need som coils
not aviable anywhere myself.
With a .290 voicecoil, and a .280 gap.
You will still get an overhung driver, end up having close to zero linear excursion.
and probably have a driver that distorts early.
The oem .170 in the...
MWA KVC8509-8
3.000" ID
.9" former length
.170" winding
Copper, round wire.
Kapton former.
Thats the only 3" coil with 0.170 winding i could find in the MWA cataloque.
MWA does not sell to...
This 2245H was measured with a S&L Woofertester 2
At the time measurement was done the driver was just reconed with one of the last oem kits sold in Norway by me.
Meaasured with the driver in...
Good to know, i was a bit worried that you actually had installed a C8R2245 cone kit in a 2241 basket
Wich migth actually be possible, but would render the completed driver useless for any purpose....
Let me know if you decide to sell a pair of LE14H-3`s
IF the price are within reason.
Not to be Critical.
But i hope 2241 was a typo, and you ment to Write 2240 reconed to a 2245.
I cant really see how a 2243H can be more suitable for home use, it has far less X max and very low QTS which even with a 30hz FS makes it very inefficient in the 20-80hz area in a regular ported...
XPL 140 used as center channel.
A 2245H in a 226L box has been added together with a minidsp 10x10. for subwoofer and bi amping of the XPL200.
Looks like you nailed it. :applaud:
Thanks a lot, these made me really curious.
I Was just looking at a youtube JBL vid
and just as the video started a speaker I have never seen came up on the screen.
attached file shows a screenshot.
It looks like a 2 way with a 2214...
I realize this tread are few months old.
But I suggest experimenting with the Noisekiller products.
its a water based viscoelastic damping compound aviable in 1L cans.
I have used it at the...
The size of the unit makes me wonder if this might be a close relative.

I cant really say I tries to mimic the DX1 since I does not use EQ in the low region of my XPL200`s, but I bi amp them trough a minisdsp 10x10 and highpass the 115H-1`s at 250hz 12db/oct, the 2214H`s...
Strange. i measured 4 2206H and all of them was betwin 17,5 and 18 (believe oem specs says 18. and all of these showed signs of high heat and corrosion. Even the 2226/2235 I tried to put together...
I have used Morel speakers in several cars with great success. :applaud:
I have a pair of 2122H here too. they are reconed with oem conekits. when comparing the surrounds from these too those on the earlier mentioned LE111H drivers. the LE111H surrounds feels like they...
I picked up a pair of JBL LE111H drivers who where supposedly restored by a pro.
The spider and surround are replaced with new parts from MWA. cone and coil are oem.
The problem are that these do...
The catalog are pretty hard to cross reference.
Only some of the coils have info of what driver it is intended for.
there are no info about wire gauge, outer diameter or anything that makes it easy...
The .400" coil I have found in the MWA catalog, are a coil for a JBL G125-8 which also uses an aluminum coil.
A coil identical to the one used in 2123 (.420") , I have not found, so if that are to...
It seems like Speakerexchange uses the same .400" coil for their 2123H aftermarket kit as they use in their kit for the 2122H, and there are no coil especially for the 2123H in the MWA catalog...
