I have 4333As and 4331Bs both in walnut, cabinets are identical with blue faces and 45 degree face mouldings. Your interior pictures look correct and your crossovers should be 3133As as they seem to...
Thanks Cohearent, that's the kind of tip I'm looking for! I'll probably try anyway-it's research..
Yes, I have the components, I could even borrow the 077s from my L65s,but I was thinking of A/B comparison with my 4333A monitors so the bullets would give me something a little different! No...
Fishing for opinions, what about adding a pair of 2402 bullets and 3105 crossovers to my 4331bs?
I also have 4333A and 4331As that have been brought up to 4333A spec. They are indeed my pride and joy!!You are gonna love them! Congrats!
Google Cable Electronics model AV400
Just goes to show ya: " too much of everything is just enough" as Bob Weir would say!! Most excellent as I would say. Congrats and enjoy.
I populated a pair of 4311 cabs with 4312 components, crossovers and all. I like to use LE 26 tweeters but that's just personal preference..LE 5-12's easy to find.
4333A (2 pair), L65, L166 (2 pair), L100t3, L100 century, 4312, 4311,L50, L26...I exercise them all, sometimes all together- just to be silly!! It's a fun way to dust the shop-ultrasonically. Happy...
A few months ago I picked up a pair of 4331A's less than 100 miles away, but they have since grown into another pair of 4333's. (sorry, I just can't control myself..)
Southern NH to Atlanta GA (2200 miles round trip). Solo trip in a blizzard to pick up my 4333A monitors. Snowbound in Virginia for 36 hours, returned home a day late for work, it's snowing sideways...
Now is your opportunity to try a pair of le-26 tweeters,I find them to be less harsh than the le-25's regards, Mark ps they drop right in , no physical changes to the cabinets
Curtis, I think your tour rates a better "bang for the buck" than mine. $300 fuel, $245 lodging $1950 speakers, overall experience still "priceless".. Regards, Mark
Sorry, pictures were not a safe option on a solo 2300 mile weekend trip.. Mark
I did a ten state tour from NH to Georgia (snowbound in Lexington VA for 36 hours) to pick up a pair of pristine 4333A monitors the week before Christmas! We may have passed eachother on the...
Allow me to introduce the
JBL choir: L65a, L100T3, L166a,4311, L50, L26 and a pair of large Advents for diversity Regards, Mark
Mike stop crying, I said you could come visit them, THEY DO SOUND FANTASTIC!!! thanks again, Mark
I've loved my L166's since new but when I found a pair of L100t3's on craig's list my opinion changed in minutes... those big ported cabinets DO make a difference. happy listening, Mark
Just an update, my A/V distribution amplifier (Cable Electronics model av400 ) arrived today $69.99 from Tiger Direct as opposed to the Extron equivalent for $190. It's hooked up to the pre-out and...
Allow me to introduce to you, the JBL choir, in the mezzanine we have: the L100t3, L166, L50, L26, and for a little diversity the large Advents. We are always looking to audition new talent......
I went to the Extron website, their diagrams show exactly what I need to do. Thanks everybody for the help (the JBL choir thanks you also) Regards, Mark
This device posted by Grumpy might be what I am looking for. Do you think the signal from the pre-amp will be strong enough to do all this traveling?
Thanks for the prompt replies, I'm not familiar with AVR since I'm just a stereo guy so am I correct in thinking : CD player sings to the pre-amp who then sings into the AV receiver who then sings in...
That would be five stereo amps for five pair of speakers
