I purchased a pair of E-50's for my son for X-mas to use with a vintage Yamaha receiver, at first I was very disappointed but after maybe 20 or 30 hours they were way better and actually surprised me...

I purchased a set of E-50's for my son for X-mas and broke them in with the old trusty Pioneer , at first I was very disappointed but after several hours they came in some and were much better. When...
I tend to agree ,it is really easy to blame the shipping company but the packaging really makes the difference. The last I bought off E-bay the seller really went out of his way and did a fantastic...
I think you will like them I have a pair I purchased new and spent $260.00
about six month's ago to have them re-coned. I think they are one of the few speakers I have heard that the grills make a...
I would like to thank Steve Gonzales for his generosity in providing me with another driver I will make a contribution to the website in his honor. Thanks again Steve :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:
Don, I did not try a Cd but it does it using the FM tuner also.
Good call, when I ran a low signal through I can actually make it work or not work by moving the wires or whole cone. Should I unsolder the wires and redo next. I really appreciate the help, I can...
Ok I will give that a try. The Dcr is 5 Ohm min 6 max
Yep ,already tried it the bad woofer is bad in either cabinet, the driver appears fine and I can detect no rubbing and the wires appear fine.:(
Anybody have a recommendation for a repair facility in the St,Louis or
Kansas city area.
Ok , I tried everything and the problem still persist. I feel no drag at all and the surround is only a year old and it distorts the same in both speakers. :banghead:
OK I swapped the woofers and it sounds normal, so something is definitely wrong with the driver.:(
10-4, I swapped my L50 over to that channel and had no problem.
Hey Guy's a little help, last night while spinning some vinyl the woofer on one of the L46's started distorting really bad. I pulled the woofer out and it looks fine. I appreciate the help as always.
Major anniversaries are very cool, I have been married for over twenty five and have owned my first set of JBL Loudspeakers even longer. I wonder if the Maytag man and the JBL repair man hang out...
I had them repaired by a company JBL recommended. I will give them a call you never know. The Kit's I know came from JBL.
Widget, the foam is also seven months old. I probably should not blame the cat they really look like cuts from a razor maybe. I am wondering if maybe they have been there since I received them back...
The funny thing is they lay by them when we are jamming out and I have
never seen them attack them. Is there a good source for the proper glue.
I think this is the culprit!
I was cleaning my speaker's today and noticed two very small cuts on the foam, not sure you will be able to see in pic's. I asked all three of my cat's about it but I got the old wasn't me from all...
Sweeet, after you use it a while let me know how you like it.:)
Does this mean I am off the hook!! :D
I have owned several H/K recievers and they have always been big bang for the buck$$$
I noticed we have several members located between KC and St, Louis
maybe some of us could get together and have a bash.:bouncy:
