Not that I have owned anything previously to compare with, I bought an new unmodded Music Hall CD25.2 from Underwood. I'm very happy with the sound, its built like a tank, and was reasonably priced.
This what I used to hook up an Ashly in my system. Plain mic cable.
I went with the first (left option). No noise, worked fine.
Found my XR-1001 very easy to set up. Love the sound.
Well after weighing all the options, I've ordered an Ashly XR-1001. Don't plan on using a sub (nor do I have the space with the A7's) so a 2 way stereo should be all I need. May have to cry for help...
Happy Birthday Don! Hope you took the day off, and are sipping on a Single Malt!

Have decided to build a pair of A7's. 416-8B's / 802-8G Drivers with 511B Horns. Have SAE A202 & A502 Amps and Hafler DH101 Preamp. Thinking about using N501-8A Crossover. Is there much to be gained...

Thanks!
I'm going to pull the woofer again, and have a close look in the cabinet. Thanks!
Just got a pair of 4312A's. Hooked them up, and sounded great. However, at higher volumes, one of them sounds like the woofer was blown. Makes a terrible rattling sound. Decided before I bought a new...
After taking a good look at them last night, not a chance the wife would let them in the house. Be surprised if they would go through the front door. He is asking around $800 - $1000 Cdn. I'm sure...
Does anyone know what a pair of 4663's might sell for? And could I add a sub and use them for home speakers?
