If im not mistaken he saw it in a professional review of them from australia or new zealand i think.
I don't think your responses are moot. I beelive that the actual tested lower ohm rates are consistent across all the Studio L line, not just the L820s.
I have an older yamaha receiver and it...
The picture is a little misleading, but the L820's are right up to the edge of the glass. But I could scoot them a little farther forward I think...they are also toed in slightly towards the...
Here you go Ti, as requested without the grilles on...
They look more "techie" with the grilles off, but I prefer them with the grilles on....
...
Yessir thats Mr. Buddha up there. Ill take a shot today when I get home with grilles off ;)
Just to keep things up to date, here is a pic of the final (for now till I get the L890s) setup:

I bought my L820's and my LC2 from him and all came sealed in original boxes and are working perfectly. Hope to save up and buy the L890's from him soon :)
I agree with MJC completely. Using the ame speakers at all positions is generally seen as the ideal setup for a 5.1 system. The LC2 is essentially just an L820 with an extra 6" speaker so it should...
E-Warehouse has a pair of L810's at $259.90

You can't hear it but i believe it has been proven that the inner ear can "feel" those >20khz frequencies.
Just do what Im going to do, get a nice SVS subwoofer ;)
Driver selections seem similar to the Studio L's. The L's have a 4" midrange in addition to the woofer, tweeter, and super tweeter that these dont have. Same thing with my LC2 center. My LC2 is 6"...
I agree!
Ill take my Studio L's over these any day ;)
My local best buy's in Miami all have the JBL venue series for sale and on display..
2 in a box :)
And the LC2 and L820's are perfectly timbre matched. They are essentially the same speaker. You take an L820 and exapnd it to add another 6" driver on the other side, and voila you...
I just received and unpacked my new LC2 center channel. Man this thing is a monster! Can't wait to get it home and hook it up. Since Im not wall mounting it I applied the little self adhesive rubber...
Thanks man!!
Thanks for the heads up!! Since you seem to get through to him. I wonder if you could ask him how often he gets these in? I hope they aren't a limited time only deal as I dont have the funding right...
Good point, didnt notice the picture. I just thought that maybe since when facing each other the dirver arrays would be reversed that maybe thered be some issue of cancellation or something of the...
For rears mounted on the back wall, the 820's would be kick arse because they are deisgned as a mirror imaged pair and meant to be mounted like that.
What im a bit worried about is that when...
Thanks Andrew!
I saw that he listed the LC2's again right about when you posted this so it might have been in response to your email to him ;)
I went ahead and bought the LC2 on Friday...
I got them form ewarehouse on ebay. But he no longer shows any listings for the LC2 or the L890s :( I shot him a few emails to see if he was goign to get more and he never replied back.
Well, I received the L820s so I thought id update this thread. I also see some of you guys from this thread are also over on avsforums ;)
Im piecing together my Studio L's sight unseen and sound...
Well I donwloaded that chart and pulled out the good old tape measure, and from the screen of the TV to where I would be sitting on the couch, is pretty much EXACTLY what the chart recommends as...
