I'll take any info I can get,
Thanks guy's!
I see there are a number of LE10 variants and I don't really find any "guide" to what
all of them are and I have a few questions. (is there a guide?)
First I've got some pics here of ones I've...
For the time being (sacrelidge I know) I have subbed the 2404 with an AUDAX
high sensitivity dome tweet, definatly got more sparkle then the 2404 with the
2402 diaphragm in it. ;)
Until I can...
OK well that was a big twist an bunch of info compaired to yesterday, huummm.......
Good stuff guy's!
Thanks for your thoughts, Allan it is?
Will surely take your info into consideration. (2402 sounds like the plan)
Using the 2118 I'm just running a cap in series 1st order on the high pass side...
I am building a complete (new) system with these drivers an will cross no lower
then 4k or higher, and use low power amps, is the 2402 still the recomendation?
Thanks, I'm reading, :applaud:
Recently acquired a pair of 4628B's with 2225's, 2118's and the 2404's.
All the drivers are good and I've been playing around with a system utilizing those
drivers, except one 2404 has an...
I'm not familiar with how the throat changes things Zilch, are you suggesting
the 1" variant with it's smaller throat "may" go lower by virtue of the throats
size just being smaller? Care to...
Any idea how low they might be able to be crossed Zilch?
Just wondering about there possable suitabilty in a 3-way using them for mids.
Got through to JBL Pro Parts,
The 1" thread on version is $131.00 each, and I was told there were plenty in stock. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Hey Russ, how yu doin,,....:)

Well I gots a few bills and what not to take care of then I am planning on
getting a pair of these big ole horny guy's. Thanks...
So Zilch, now that you've got "some" of the technical worked out how do they sound?
Do they stack up to some of the better horns you've heard?
Are there any subjective qualities that come out?
It's all relative,
Depends how much volume you really want/need for your apllication.
With 30 watts of push pull tube power I can power pretty much any speaker I own in my setting
to volumes...
Also I'm curious if some of the drivers that have a droop in the extreme top end
even after compensation might benefit from that built in "boost" there? Hummmm..
I believe some of the pro drivers...
Am I correct in reading that CD comp is still needed here?
What drivers have you tried now and what xovers as well?
-------------------
And it looks like the horn has a "boost" at around ...
Following with interest here Zilch,
Thanks for the headsup, I certainly am looking into these, :dancin:
Thanks Earl,
Yep have access to 2 different Woofer tester 3's, when they do get refoamed
I'll take the measurements an post the results. I should be able to refoam them.
Ha Ha! :applaud:
More then likely that would be the use.
If these actually model up like an LE10A does in winisd I like what I see.
Anyone know much about these.

On a whim and a nudge, I bought them. :)
Now I need to...
