The photos you're seeing are a mix of stuff I took just for this thread and my M2 build. I didn't think I was ever going to do a thread like this so please forgive me if I don't have a picture of...
Some folks here run 4" compression drivers from 800Hz (maybe even lower) all the way up to the upper edge of hearing. I'd really like to sample something like that.
Yes, Titebond II and some good clamping force produce incredible bonding strength.

More CRB7 magic:

The sides:
The sides are still too big and they're about a little bigger by adding some banding to match your veneer (assuming you aren't going for a painted finish).

Wave guide screws:
For those in the U.S. the perfect screw is a #12-24NC. It gets you full thread depth after tapping without removing a ton of material. For every other country on the planet...I...

I think JBLs best 12" is still the 1200fe and it's not very good down low (might hit 45Hz in the right room) so you'll need subs. All the added cost and all the space you'd have to find for the subs...
"Sweet! They look a lot like mine :)"
Your build was part of my inspiration for sure.
I ended up buying a lot of special tools to make building such big boxes in a precise manner possible....
A very worthwhile finding that will no doubt save some speakers from the scrap heap.
Something to add: If you snug up the terminals and you still have problems, the tinsel leads aren't...
Thanks guys,
I felt I really had to up my woodworking game to make something worthy of the design and the money I spent on all these quality parts. I'm truly relieved it all worked out.

I hope you can have a listen before you decide, tell us how it goes! :bouncy:
As far as home or car audio systems go I think it has pretty good sensitivity...most of the home subs I've built in recent history have been in the mid 80s. I kinda felt like the frame of reference...
I followed Rock Cobbs instructions and used the tone.
Also, I pulled out every last vestige of the foam filter on top of the pole piece using an MEK dipped rag wrapped around my finger...I'm gonna...
