New Crossover for S8R Olympus


Hey all, I’m after some advice on upgrading the crossovers on my JBL S8R Olympus speakers. The current crossovers are LX5 and N7000, but it don’t want to recap...

About 12 months ago I snagged some rough, but complete L46's for $10, they are currently under restoration

I picked up my Olympus with LE15B, 375 and 075's about 3 years ago for $150

Hi all, I know I'm digging up an old thread here, but has anyone else built Bruno's crossover? I'm thinking of tackling this one myself for my S8 Olympus

Hi Roads, thanks for your reply. That's one thing I've been thinking of (I've considered selling the crossovers to fund building new ones)

Main problem is my lack of ability to read a schematic,...

When I got the speakersm the crossovers needed a shot of de-oxit to get one of the tweeters working. (btw what does the control on the N7000 do?)

As for the EMIT's, I've had the JBL's longer than...

Like I said I really like these speakers, my main criticism is a lack of "sparkle" in the high end (compared to the EMITS in my Infinity RSb's) for want of a better term.

They also lack the sound...
