I've had some that I liked a lot. I use A40s for L/C/R in the theater at our lake house with a Marantz receiver. No complaints at all.

Yup. Closest I could find was that the "flat" setting extends response down below 20Hz, and the "Room A" & "Room B" settings are likely based on where you locate the sub, whether against two...
Apparently, then, yours ISN'T a V3B, mine doesn't have those markings. I'll poke around, but knowing your exact model # and age would help.
