There's this: http://andyc.diy-audio-engineering.org/mso/html/index.html
I haven't tried it myself yet.....probably in the next couple months. You need the ability to make dual channel...
So would it be considered a throatless design? Do you know the negative angle?
Diffraction I would say like Cappelen says......though like I said I don't see how what they show is possible. Also, if they are rotating about a common axis (in this case I'll assume the horn throat...
I'm not sure I believe those measurements........there's no way a single 15 is going to have that kind of directivity from 150-500hz. Maybe there's a secret no one told me :o:
Cappelen - could you...
Ok, that makes more sense.
Nice work! I do outdoor measurements myself and I can appreciate what a pain in the rear it is. I drag my amps and stuff outside so that's a bit easier than running cables everywhere. To make sure I...
We all start somewhere! I started by using a radio shack spl meter and "designed" my crossovers with in room, ungated, measurements. I was totally clueless....:banghead:
Don - there's something between your mic and the speaker that's corrupting the impulse......there's no clear separation between the first reflection and the speaker pulse. I'd expect the speaker...
Unless you've got your speaker and mic 7' off the ground and have that distance clear in all directions (including up!) you're not actually getting 5ms of clean data. Just a guess here, but if you...
If you're actually getting 5ms of clean data that should have sufficient resolution to work out everything from the xo up. For a wg like this I'd think a set of polar measurements are needed and then...
It doesn't sound better because you're eq'ing room reflections, not the speaker response. Any reason you're not making gated measurements? You really need good data to eq a horn like this.
Will do
I've been lurking Audio Heritage for a couple years now, but I've never posted. Some of you are wondering about the directivity of the dual 15's....and I have data :D
These are dual AE TD15M in 3...
