Flat black
Go with the flat black for sure. No cat turds :barf: If you lay out your final cuts and prime them BEFORE you glue and screw them together, you will eliminate the possibilty of having problems with the glue not accepting the paint very well. . If you decide not to, at least clean off the excess glue really good with a damp towel to avoid this. Don't inhale too much of the fumes either:blink:

Nice work Steve
I do like those blue grills,,, very sharp !
I figure thats the "look" that JBL should of used in the first place. ;)

Is that blue grillcloth the stuff from cardomain? It looks pretty good! I've got some, and while not an exact match with the original, it sure looks good by itself. Or is it something else?

yeah!
thanks fella's. where do I find the time, someone asked? I own my own painting company so I am not on a particular schedule. After the 3 three pairs of L222/220's, these where a welcomed, smaller job!. That blue grill cloth is from the first batch found a JoAnn's. I also re-glued and clamped the cabs so they are SOLID again.

Great job! I love L110's. I always thought that a pair of L110's without the grilles on was one of JBL's most "high tech" looking speakers.

I agree
These are an unusual design. When you have as much success as JBL did with the L100 and you are replacing them with another model, you better have something good. I am amazed at the sound of these little power houses. The bass is really tight and punchy, no boom. I also like the 033 better than the LE25's of the L100's. thank you for the kind words too :) .
