Stopped at the library today
.
looked thru the shelves for movies ... China Beach TV show jumped out at me,
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094433/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
and since I was one of the 5 persons that actually lived at China Beach , thought I'd
give it a try.
Theme music was good , Dana was cute , idea was OK , BUT .... the inaccuracies were
piling up so fast that I kept FF'ing to find something that was right. Never did.
Now I remember why I didn't watch the series in late 80's/early 90's. It was just *MASH*
in a different setting, but still shot in SoCal.
Not recommended. :crying:
I don't normally watch ROMCOM's
.
but I remembered enjoying this long ago , and grabbed it again
High Fidelity (2000)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0146882/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
John Cusack does a fine job ..jack Black is annoying . cast good , well directed etc. CZJ was a treat.
Storyline
High Fidelity follows the 'mid-life' crisis of Rob, a thirty-something record-store owner who must face the undeniable facts - he's growing up. In a hilarious homage to the music scene, Rob and the wacky, offbeat clerks that inhabit his store expound on the intricacies of life and song all the while trying to succeed in their adult relationships. Are they listening to pop music because they are miserable? Or are they miserable because they listen to pop music? This romantic comedy provides a whimsical glimpse into the male view of the affairs of the heart. Written by <[email protected]>
