I'm listening to a first record on my new TT. I picked up a black P5 with external PSU and the upgrade belt from my local dealer today. His last P5 and he had no cherry wood units but what a great deal for $1k. I have a Benz Wood cartridge on order for it and should have it in a week or two, in the meantime we put the Benz Ace from my P3 on it. There is a LOT more resolution with this combo, with especially tight and textured low frequencies. I'm looking forward to redisovering my record collection.

I saw your complaint on some U.S. pressings like The Beach Boys Lp that suprise me. Don't know about that but one time I had chance to compare original 60's U.K version of Captain Beefheart's "Safe As Milk" Lp called "Drop out Boogie" with some U.S. issue, and the U.K. Lp is 15% better:blink:
I have same complaints on some Greek, Italian & ex Yugoslav issues which are criminally pressed.
