Miles Davis - Nefertiti
(1968, Columbia) 1971 CS 9594 2nd pressing

The last acoustic album before Miles went electric. Really enjoy the keyboard work by Herbie Hancock on the title track. The music is kind of languorous and moody with edges of hard bop, very nice. Howard Roberts is listed as a producer along with Teo Macero.

Favourite punk transvestite solo Lp. Long ago declared he's Man Enough to Be a Woman. So he done the change, Wayne became Jayne, the rest is history.

Found this on youtube today.
It's the best new stuff I saw & heard in a long time.
Has that cool retro feel in it.
Reminds me on sweet & moody female vocals from Billie Holiday to Marianne Faithfull & Nico.

The Band - Cahoots
(1971, Capitol)

I found this excellent copy with a lime green capitol label tonight. It's an upgrade over the red label copy that I have. The LP includes a cover of Dylan's When I Paint My Masterpiece. It's funny because at dinner my son and I were talking about wandering around Rome when we visited a couple of years ago - and I had told him to check out this song. 30 minutes later I'm making the rounds at the thrift stores and HPB and I find this record.
