I think it's stunning, really like the folk pop influences that were probably swirling around the LA music scene at that time and made it into Bryan Maclean's and Arthur Lee's heads and onto this record.

Leadon, Meisner, Henley and Frey were first together in 1971 to play on Linda Rondstadt's self titled record. This record leads off with "Take It Easy" which is great advice for a Friday night -- "lighten up while you still can...". Glenn Frey co-wrote the song with neighbor Jackson Browne.
