Two-way system with TAD TD-2001?

A pair of TAD TD-2001 1-inch exit drivers have come my way.
I'm thinking of using them, crossed over around 1 kHz, in a two-way system with a 12" LF driver.

I'd appreciate receiving any suggestions for

(a) the LF driver -- TAD TL-1102 (hard to find) or ???

(b) the horn -- don't know a lot about horns for 1-inch exit drivers -- JBL 2370A or ???

(b) You might find the JBL 2344 worth a try. It's been done before:

I'm not sure what would be the best 1" horn, but the 2370 wouldn't be on my list. The 2344 is certainly much better. You might want to try a tractrix horn.

For woofers, the Altec 414 could be an excellent choice.

If you have the opportunity to make your own horns these horns might be something to try out. Maybe you could make yourself a smaller version of the TAD 2402 exclusive if you could get a hold on those 1102, which I think could be kind of difficult.

Not sure if you're sticking to JBL horns, but I've seen people use TD-2001s on Altec 511s, and I use TD-2002s (a very similar driver) on Altec 511s, crossed at 800Hz. The combination works quite well. The usual caveats about the 511 apply; they need plenty of damping to stop the ringing, and the walls of the horn are too flexible for serious use, so they need to be coated with something soundproof. I used polyurethane construction adhesive.

For crossing at 1kHz, an Altec 811 might also work well.
