Scientists have always been among the most optimistic and progressive of people. Sure there are exceptions to this generalization, but most of the best things that we enjoy today and the things that raise our quality of life came from the fertile and free thinking minds of true scientists.

The Internet is another milestone in a scientific journey of thousands of years, and it stands as a significant one due to the care with which its creators struggled to make and keep it free. It truly is a marvel.
