Thanks Ed, been waiting for this one for a while.
Of course anything I comment about the sound will be highly subjective. However, I can at least comment on it's three functions.

• As a standalone DAC
• As a network streamer
• As a preamp

I'll be trying it in a number of systems across the house. I'm anticipating the middle of next week sometime when it arrives.

Does it have digital pre-outs by any chance?

Unfortunately no.
