Assuming you have a preamp that will supply a -12db signal slope, both 'fore' and 'aft', for any driver with a 'sweet spot' within that range, and an unlimited number of amps for each associated preamp out, is there any reason for a crossover? No matter a 3-way, 4-way, etc.?

That's a preamp/electronic crossover you're describing (didn't Kenwood/Trio make a nice one?), so you're still using a crossover.Quote:

Rod's a good engineer. As for expert, he has his opinions on audio, like we all do, and they seem as valid as any others I've read.Quote:
