I am considering re-coning a D130a/sn410169 correctly instead of just selling the speaker as is.
1. I assume that there are 130a re-cone kits are still available. True?
2. Are there any QUALITY places around San Francisco?
3. If there are none around SF, where is the best place to send them to in the US?
4. Assuming that there is nothing else wrong with my speaker except a torn cone, what should i expect to pay?

Also, it's either a D130 or a 130A, which are different. No such thing as a D130a, I don't believe....

They were called D-130A in the late 1940s, but then the D was dropped for some reason...

It was decided that the "D" would indicate the Duraluminum dome.

I always figured that "D" stood for driver in Jim Lansing's nomenclature, like "N" stood for network. Of course things changed later on...
