A neighbor has a tuckered-out surround. His lad tried some repairs... :no:
JBL Consumer lists the woofer as Part No.: 75493-01
It's hard to see, since there seems to be an extra magnet atop the end piece where the part number would be. :confused:
Anyway, the frame is 6-5/8 inch edge-to-edge, and the cone approx. 5-inch. Anybody got a source for these surrounds?
the maginet is a bucking maginet. it's used instead of a cup for video shielding. it might honestly be worth replacing the woofer in general. i probably have it sitting on a shelf somewhere.

Well, if the new woofer thing doesn't pan out, I'm sure I've got one of those surrounds of that size around somewhere. Sounds like a bone-standard 6.5" surround...
